High Octane Picture Acquires ‘Blood Bags’ Out of Cannes

UK genre specialists Devilworks have sold Emiliano Ranzani’s creature horror Blood Bags to High Octane Picture for North American distribution, reports ScreenDaily out of Cannes.

Ranzani’s feature debut tells the story of a bloodthirsty creature that stalks the corridors of an abandoned mansion.

Further international sales include Taiwan (MovieCloud); India (Star TV); Germany, Austria and Switzerland (Lighthouse Entertainment); Benelux and Scandinavia (TakeOne); Spain (Tema Distribuciones); and Italy (CG Entertainment).

“A creature stalks the corridors of an abandoned mansion. Two friends break in and discover that all exits have been sealed off and the creature that hunts them is growing hungry for their blood; there is no escape.”

The Italian filmmaker co-wrote the feature with Davide Mela, with Alessandro Regaldo as executive producer for Grey Ladder Productions.
