Exclusive: Florence Pugh Talks Being Cast in ‘Midsommar’ [Video]

Ari Aster, the filmmaker behind last year’s breakout horror film Hereditary, returned this year with the unnerving and viscerally disturbing sun-soaked horror film Midsommar, which is now on VOD platforms, Blu-ray and DVD.

Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive look at special features content “Let the Festivities Begin: Manifesting Midsommar”, a featurette that details the making of Aster’s nightmare.

The film stars Florence Pugh as a young woman who reluctantly joins her boyfriend on a summer trip to a remote Swedish village for a midsummer festival, which becomes more and more sinister as the days pass.

The video details Pugh’s casting as Aster introduces her character, Dani.
